Ron Evans
Chairman
Chief Executive Office
Ron earned his Chartered Accountant designation in New Zealand in 1988. For nearly 20 years, he specialized in insolvency and restructuring, business and project viability and feasibility, strategic planning, and complex financial modeling at leading international accounting firms and as a partner in a Vancouver-based insolvency and restructuring practice.

After leaving professional practice, Ron co-founded, directed, and held officer roles in several commercial enterprises, primarily in the energy sector, including oil and gas, renewable energy, workforce accommodations, oilfield industrial activities, and First Nations economic development initiatives. He has also consulted with various clients in project development and business/financial management roles, including aquaculture and real estate.
Ron is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Turnaround Management Association (Toronto Chapter).


Benson Chiu
Director
Chief Operating Officer
Benson Chiu has 18 years of business management experience, including acting as a board member on several companies, and as Vice President and Marketing Director.
Benson is President and Principal of Sierra Lane Construction Ltd.*, a company he founded in 2005.
Over the past 15 years Benson has grown Sierra Lane from a small locally-focused construction company
into a reputable and respected full construction service provider with multiple projects in progress throughout Canada’s western provinces at any given time, and ongoing arrangements with several national clients for all their projects in the western provinces.
*Sierra Lane Construction is the Exclusive Construction Partner with respect to Yieldbridge's activities.

Kathleen Soltis
Director
Senior Vice President
Kathleen obtained her MBA degree from UBC in 1981. She has worked in local government for nearly 35 years, beginning in Human Resources, expanding to Corporate Services (H.R. plus internal services such as Finance, Asset Management, Procurement, and Information Technology).
Kathleen finished her career in local government in 2020 as the Chief Administrative Officer of a mid-size B.C. municipality. During her tenure as CAO, the City’s annual building permit revenue doubled and significant public and private sector capital projects, many of which were in the City’s downtown, were plannedand/or completed.
Kathleen is the owner of KathleenSoltis ConsultingCorp. and in 2023 obtained an MA in Conflict Analysis and Management from Royal Roads University. She is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources, a Qualified Arbitrator, and a Qualified Mediator. She's a member of CPHR BC, the Local Government Management Association of B.C. (LGMA), the Alternate Dispute Resolution institute of Canada (BC Chapter) and the International Coaching Federation (Vancouver Chapter).
Kathleen is a Citizen of the Metis Nation of British Columbia.

Sean Wilton
Director
Executive Vice President
Sean graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. As an officer in the Canadian military, they served as a Defence Construction Canada liaison officer for the DND Pacific Region, managing large-scale construction and real estate development projects.
​
Afterward, Sean founded an engineering and design/build construction company that delivered complex projects in engineering, construction management, aquaculture, and environmental fields worldwide. Closer to home, they founded and managed Arris Construction, a BC Regional developer and builder.

Sean is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of British Columbia.

Ian Wells
V.P. Planning and Development
Ian obtained his BSc. degree from the University of Victoria in 1984. He worked for a crown corporation and in local government for 32 years. Ian began as a real estate appraiser, obtaining his AAIC and RIBC design-ations, and moved on to local government as the Manager of Real Estate Services then the General Manager of Planning & Development.
In local government he managed economic develop-ment and led the negotiation for the sale and acquisition of key strategic properties for private and public re-development.

Ian has in-depth knowledge of infrastructure, planning and development, and municipal and provincial land use processes. He continues to build partnerships while working proactively with governments, First Nations, the public, and business sectors in the leasing, acquisition, and disposition of properties.


Jon Smith
Director (Industries and Energy)
Executive Vice President
Jon earned a Bachelor of Applied Science - Mechanical Engineering designation at the University of Waterloo in 2002. He is a Technology and Engineering Management Professional with over 20 years of experience in advanced technology and development including over 16 years in High Tech Startups in Silicon Valley.
Jon's broad experience includes deployment of gigawatt scale Concentrated Solar Thermal infrastructure in the Middle East.
